We are currently seeking a Service Technician
Job Summary:
Davis Trailer World is seeking an experienced service technician to join our team and take on the responsibility of inspecting and maintaining the mechanical and electrical parts of trailers. The responsibilities of the service technician include servicing and repairing trailer parts & components and ensuring that trailers are roadworthy. We will consider candidates that do not necessarily have all of the qualifications but have sufficient experience and talent.
Job Responsibilities & Duties:
- Inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trailer & truck body systems and components.
- Performing preventative maintenance on trailers.
- Servicing brakes, hubs, and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required.
- Checking and repairing electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Performing NYS safety inspections.
- Assisting in installing vehicle hitches, truck caps & accessories.
- Keeping work area & tools clean.
- Performing routine repair work around shop & related job duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Punctual, dependable, able to get to work on time.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Able to work in a team and produce quality work under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Diligence, prioritization skill, and time management.
- Possess a valid NYS Inspectors license or obtain one within 60 days of hire date.
